English Summer Day Camp (Coslada)
The start of school holidays brings yet another year a new summer day camp experience at KRAUSS: the little ones can attend this camp Monday through Friday, 9am – 4pm. If needed, participants may join us as early as 8am and finish before lunch at 1:30pm.
Our summer school is a day camp targeted especially for children living in the Corredor del Henares area.
The registration period for the weeks below begins in January.

For five to nine year olds. During their stay, children learn English naturally with the Krauss cognitive-communicative approach. Our native camp counselors from the United Kingdom, Ireland and the U.S. guide them through a total immersion experience in English, including sports, outdoor and leisure activities, cooking workshops, arts & crafts, theater plays, puppet shows, wicker and loom weaving workshops…
During their stay at the summer day camp in Coslada, children are arranged according to age groups, which lets us organize different schedules. Each group has a maximum of 12 children. A lead counselor and a counselor assistant are in charge of each group.
THE METHOD
The Krauss method uses a cognitive-communicative approach: students learn to think naturally in English; i.e. they learn new knowledge directly in this language, without relying on their mother tongue. To make this possible, students’ topics of interest and goals are identified, so they can make immediate practical use of the language being learnt. In addition to developing creativity and public speaking skills, the focus is placed on voice modulation, intonation and accent, which improve significantly in a fun environment through the creation of theater plays and singing. Vocabulary and structures come alive inside and outside the workshops, in daily camp routines, in children’s games and during breaks.
